Made from deeply grained Mugavu wood, this prep and serving board is as stunning as it is durable. It is designed for serving charcuterie and cheeses, and is perfect for everyday use. Hand carved on a lathe, each board undergoes a long sanding process and is then oiled to highlight the natural grain.
Each board is individually crafted from start to finish by a group of woodworkers in a fair trade environment in Kampala, Uganda.
Keep the board clean by hand washing with mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid letting it stand or soak in water. Disinfect occasionally with vinegar and baking soda or sea salt. To prevent splintering and fraying for a long lasting, smooth surface, it is recommended that you occasionally apply a beeswax salve or food-safe mineral oil. If cared for well, the board will develop a silky patina over time.
